Quantity Surveyor - Ductwork

About Us:
Our company specializes in the design, manufacture, and installation of ductwork systems for various sectors of the Construction industry. We're seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, responsible for estimating, quantity surveying, and project cost management.
Job Summary:
We're looking for a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor with expertise in ductwork to manage all commercial aspects of our projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates, managing project costs, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Estimating: Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for ductwork projects, including material quantities, labor costs, and overheads.
2. Quantity Surveying: Manage all quantity surveying aspects of projects, including measurement, valuation, and cost control.
3. Project Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, identify potential cost savings, and ensure compliance with budget constraints.
4. Tendering: Assist in preparing tenders, including reviewing tender documents, preparing tender submissions, and presenting tenders to clients.
5. Contract Administration: Administer contracts, including preparing contract documents, managing variations, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
6. Commercial Management: Provide commercial support to project teams, including managing project finances, preparing financial reports, and identifying commercial risks and opportunities.
7. Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
8. Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve commercial processes and procedures to ensure best practice and compliance with company policies.
Requirements:
1. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the ductwork industry.
2. Professional Membership: Membership of a professional body, such as the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (ICES)
3. Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and experience with estimating software.
4. Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction contracts, commercial law, and industry standards.
