Are you looking to take the next step in your accounting career? Our client, a leading specialist engineering firm, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join their growing finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid transactional accounting experience who is ready to take on greater responsibility. You’ll work closely with the Finance Director, gaining exposure to month-end processes, payroll, and financial reporting, all while contributing to the smooth running of the finance function.
Working Hours:
Choose from two flexible working schedules:
- Option 1: Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM
- Option 2: Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Friday: 7:00 AM - 12:00 PM

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing financial reports and handling account reconciliations.
- Supporting month-end closing processes and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Assisting with payroll processes and journal entries.
- Managing debtors’ control and identifying process improvements.
- Resolving account discrepancies and responding to financial queries.
What We’re Looking For:
- AAT qualification (or working towards it) would be ideal.
- A strong understanding of fundamental accounting principles.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
