Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Location: Little Eaton, Derby

Job Type: Permanent, fulltime, office based

Hours: 39 hours p/w - Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £30,000 (Depending on experience)

An exciting opportunity to work in a well-established construction business based in Little Eaton, Derby area has become available. Offering a salary up to £30,000, the client is seeking a well-rounded assistant accountant with experience and a willingness to learn. Reporting directly to the Financial Accountant and Managing Director, the right person will carry a can-do attitude, hands-on approach and be a team player and must have relevant UK experience.

Duties:

• Accounts/bookkeeping
• Maintaining purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control
• Supporting with monthly financial reporting
• General ledger entries
• Record payments and adjustments
• Bank reconciliations
• Accruals
• Journal entries
• Ad-hoc administration duties for Managing Director

Person Specification:

• Experience in a similar finance role is essential
• Must have relevant UK experience
• AAT Level 3+ or equivalent
• Must be a driver
• Strong computer skills (Sage 200 experience is advantageous)
• Clear and concise communication skills
• Good work ethic and team player
• Ability to work in an office
