Astute Recruitment are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a dynamic finance team with our field leading client. This role will involve supporting the Head of Finance with a range of financial tasks, ensuring smooth operation of the finance function within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage the purchase ledgers
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial duties
  • Oversee the management of company credit card activity
  • Collect and process company expenses, ensuring all transactions are authorized by line management (experience with Web Expenses is desirable)
  • Handle finance-related queries and provide general administrative support to the finance team

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a Finance Assistant/Accounts Assistant role
  • Strong organisational skills and a keen attention to detail
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures
  • Experience with processing expenses is essential
  • Be able to work as a team and demonstrate team player behaviours
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business
  • Ability to work quickly, accurately, and meet deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Experience with Sage Line 50
