- Deliver expert clinical care in Geriatrician, including inpatient and outpatient services.
- Provide guidance and support to junior colleagues, fostering their professional development and specialist training.
- Contribute to the department’s community service initiatives, supporting General Practice surgeries and care homes.
- Participate in the department’s teaching programs for medical students and postgraduate trainees.
- Actively engage in research, audits, and the development of KPIs to enhance service quality and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure seamless and high-quality patient care.
- Play a key role in service development and innovation to meet future healthcare needs.
- Full GMC Registration with a license to practice.
- MBBS/MBChB and MRCP.
- Eligible for entry on the GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months of Certificate of Completion of Training [CCT] or CESR at the time of interview).
- Postgraduate thesis or higher degree (MD/PhD).
- Five years of supervised training in an appropriate SpR-equivalent training program.
- High standard of clinical skill and expertise in Geriatrician.
- Comprehensive technical competence and evidence of multi-disciplinary team collaboration.
- Commitment to and experience in teaching undergraduates and postgraduates.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Experience with audit management and evidence of strong administrative skills.
