Associate Structural Engineer

Are you an experienced structural engineer at Associate level looking for a career change?

Our client is a busy practice located on the outskirts of Derby and they have an great opportunity for an Associate Structural Engineer who is talented and ambitious and has aspirations to be a future leader.

They offer flexible hybrid working and allow working from home with weekly visits to the office. There is also likely to be travel to site in the Midlands and the Northeast of the country.

At Associate level, you will have a good working knowledge of design and construction in a range of materials, from reinforced concrete to structural steelwork.

Projects are currently primarily in the residential sector from private clients, developers, and architects. There is a strong collaboration between the teams in the office, and you will bring strong technical experience, and, preferably, some industrial structures background.

Requirements:

  • Chartered MIStructE / MICE
  • Manage a team of Engineers and Technicians
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of staff
  • Attend client and design team meetings
  • Preparation of fee proposals and support on major bids, along with an element of business development
  • MEng in civil or structural engineering
