Metalis is working with a specialist manufacturer seeking a skilled 3D Design Engineer proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, with strong research skills to quickly adapt to new projects and roles. The role requires collaboration with other designers, project engineers, and shop floor engineers, with the ability to manage tasks independently when necessary to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to produce detailed 3D parts, assemblies, and drawings.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, engineers, and shop floor teams to ensure project success.
- Manage workload and deadlines independently, ensuring timely delivery of designs
- Experience with SolidWorks Weldment and Sheet Metal is beneficial; candidates should be eager to learn these skills
- Quickly adapt to new projects, utilising research and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and time management skills
- Reliable and hardworking with excellent organisational skills
