Mewsons are partnered with a UK leading Architectural specialist who are recruiting a site based Architect for a multi-million pound project they are completing in Derby.
The role will involve working as anArchitect to provide architectural design services and project management for a commercial / manufacturing project set to last 10+ years.
New Year start.
Role requirements:
- Reviewing and designing architectural and engineering plans.
- Ensuring all plans are compliant with governmental health and safety regulations.
- Monitoring the work of other Architects.
- Liaising with clients to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner, and that project requirements are met.
- Ensuring the team works together to achieve set goals and targets.
- Acting as a mentor to new Architects and helping them fine-tune their design skills and improve their industry knowledge.
- Networking and consulting with various industry professionals.
- Take ownership of projects from inception to completion.
- Undertake tendering process and post tender analysis, including production of tender report to client and potential value engineering exercise and make recommendations to client.
Requirements:
- BA/MA Degree (or equivalent) focused in Architecture.
- Proven experience working as an Architect.
- Must have a strong technical background ideally within commercial or manufacturing architecture projects.
- Ability to commute to site. (Flexibility around site/home based working).
- In depth understanding of CAD, AutoCAD and Revit software.
