Astute Recruitment are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our clients Derby based finance team. In this role you will work with various departments across the group, ensuring the purchase ledger operations run smoothly, accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process invoices, credits and expenses both prior to and after posting to the system
  • Administer, code and collate company expense claims and credit card expenditures
  • Create and complete timely payment runs, ensuring adherence to deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with purchasing teams, department managers and other key stakeholders to resolve any ongoing queries
  • Approve the creation of new supplier accounts and maintain purchase ledger records, files and spreadsheets
  • Support treasury and banking functions
  • Provide cover and support across all areas within purchase ledger

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience within a similar role
  • Experience in general ledger and treasury desirable but not essential
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Experienced with MS office (particularly Excel, Outlook and Word)

Benefits and Hours:

  • Salary up to £25,000 depending on experience
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Working hours of 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid (2 days working from home), after completion of probation
