Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as microbiology, biochemistry, haematology, or transfusion science.
- Process and analyse patient samples, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy in results.
- Assist in the preparation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and reagents.
- Work in collaboration with senior Biomedical Scientists and other healthcare professionals to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, laboratory guidelines, and quality control standards.
Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: BSc in Biomedical Science (or equivalent).
- HCPC Registration (or eligibility for registration).
- Experience: Previous experience working in a laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in a specific discipline (e.g., microbiology, haematology) is an advantage but not essential.
- Knowledge of laboratory health and safety standards and regulations.
