Location: Site based in Derby (with travel to other sites)

This exciting and influential role offers the opportunity to reshape the future of a renowned family-owned business. As the business leaders are preparing for their next phase of growth, they are seeking a passionate, charismatic and a results driven change professional in the form of Head of Business Transformation, to support and drive this evolution.

As the Head of Business Transformation, you will play a pivotal role in not only ensuring the delivery of key strategies but embedding these changes in a sustainable and structured way. This role is critical in maintaining the company’s customer focussed, dynamic and supportive culture.

In collaboration with the Joint Managing Directors, you will spearhead key strategic projects, overseeing their planning, execution and delivery. Ensuring they stay on time, within scope and budget. You will need to be able to manage both internal and external resources, handle established stakeholders, mitigate risks, ensuring that projects meet their objectives effectively.

We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with a proven track record of successfully delivering IT, business, cultural and process change projects. While technical expertise is not required, you should have experience delivering multidisciplinary projects, managing the whole project lifecycle.

The role offers the right candidate an exciting opportunity to lead real transformation across a wide range of areas, including IT, bakery technology and retail. Your efforts will directly contribute to the company’s long-term Strategic Direction and ensure that change is successfully implemented. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project planning and execution to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage budgets, costs and resource for successful project delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Identify, assess and manage project risks.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams, both internally and externally.
  • Provide regular updates to key stakeholders.

Skills & Experience:

  • Degree qualified with Project Management certification (Prince2, Agile, Six Sigma).
  • Proven experience in driving transformation and change within a retail environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, adaptability and proactive, strategic mindset.
  • Excellent IT skills, with a deep understanding of technology and systems.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to foster strong relationships across teams and departments.

This is a critical role in the business's transformation plans, it requires someone who can quickly grasp the business and its culture, identify opportunities across the business for improvement, inspire enthusiasm and drive projects.
