The HRBP Consultant role, offering 55,000 plus London weighting per annum, plus a good benefits package, is central to the Human Resources (HR) function of our client, working in partnership with leaders to provide HR solutions, strategic advice, and operational support.

Reporting to the HRBP Manager, the consultant helps implement people plans to improve performance, collaborating with the parent company, and HR Shared Services. Their primary focus is on supporting the project delivery, located mainly in London and Essex on a hybrid basis. As the organisation grows, the consultant will play a pivotal role in developing and populating the organisation, inducting and upskilling leaders, and managing workforce performance and talent.
Key responsibilities of the role:
  • coaching and advising managers on HR matters such as organisational problem-solving, behavioural change, employee development, and performance management.
  • foster strong relationships with managers, offering guidance on leadership behaviour, and contributing to leadership development initiatives.
  • deploying people strategies at a local level, ensuring that plans align with business needs and are communicated effectively to line managers.
  • supports restructuring and cultural change initiatives, while also contributing to change management efforts.
  • workforce plans are updated and aligned with business priorities, while coordinating with the Recruitment Team to meet staffing needs.
  • managing reward systems, such as salary reviews and bonus schemes
  • supports learning and development initiatives in collaboration with the Training Lead.
  • diversity and inclusion are important aspects of the role, with the consultant tasked with promoting these values within the organisation.
In performance management, the HRBP Consultant provides guidance to managers on handling performance issues, complex employee relations cases, and disciplinary actions. Additionally, they assist in talent and succession planning to ensure the organisation has a pipeline of future leaders. HR operational delivery is another key area, requiring the consultant to work with HR Shared Services to ensure managers have the necessary support for effective HR management.
The consultant will be based primarily in London and Essex but may also engage with teams in other locations. Strong HR generalist skills, communication abilities, and knowledge of employment law are essential, as well as the ability to influence and support managers at all levels.
