About the roleWorking within MAB’s Advice Quality Team, you will have second line oversight by conducting file reviews on Mortgage Adviser written business, ensuring they comply with MAB and industry policies and procedures. You’ll be sampling Adviser activity, providing feedback on risks and suggesting improvements to achieve excellent customer outcomes.

You will carry out file reviews on Mortgage advice using the review framework, identifying the correct customer outcome on files reviewed. Using your expertise in advice and best practice, you'll provide clear guidance on remedial actions, supporting learning and development for Advisers as a collaborative approach with colleagues across the team. You'll liaise with Business Owners, Advisers and internally to build great relationships, leading to improvements in advice quality.

We're a big believer in supporting our people to grow and develop. If you're CeMAP qualified and are interested in developing your Mortgage Advice knowledge, there is potential to support you in obtaining your CeRER qualification in this role.

About YouFull training will be provided to ensure you can quickly get up to speed, but to be successful in this role you need to demonstrate:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory requirements within the Mortgage Advice industry.
  • An ability to use your judgement and self-sufficiency to make sound decisions.
  • An ability to identify areas of regulatory risk with close attention to detail.
  • Time management skills to deliver required number of case reviews.
  • Relationship building skills at all levels.
  • Professionalism and integrity through excellent communication skills.
  • CeMAP qualified (essential)
  • CeRER qualified (desirable)
