Purpose of the Paraplanning role:

You will be responsible for providing research and advice to the Partners including Recommendation and Strategy reports. You will successfully deliver high level, complex reports written specifically with clients in mind. This is achieved through a consistent high level of service and expertise both as individuals and as a team.

Paraplanning role summary:

  • Adhering to the Company’s Service Excellence, you will be expected to always provide exceptional client service.
  • The client is at the heart of their values and therefore all communication should be bespoke to them and written in concise Plain English.
  • Ensure the advice you provide is considerate to the client and appropriate, and if not, have the confidence to challenge the Partner.
  • You will be required to keep up to date with all relevant training and best practice to enable this standard to be met. This includes company and departmental training, competence, and development initiatives.
  • Regularly provide workflow updates to Partners regarding their cases so they feel in control and can manage client expectations.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Company advice process, reporting format, pre-approval process and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with other Paraplanners and the Paraplanner Team Leader to share ideas and best practice.

Key skills and personal attributes:

  • A positive, fair, and friendly service-orientated person with a "can do" attitude who is aware of the important role played by advisers and their staff in providing financial advice.
  • Honesty, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Diploma Level 4 qualified with paraplanning experience
  • Hard working and responsive to the need to deliver a high-quality support service.
  • Commercially minded and driven.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where outputs are monitored, and targets set
