CLASS 1 DRIVER
MONDAY - FRIDAY - With Various Start Times - AM/Afternoon's/PM
£16.25 - £20.35 PER HOUR
People Solutions are working with a national logistics provider supporting them with their recruitment of Class 1 Drivers due to a change of location. We are looking for drivers to attend an assessments immediately this week - 16th September. Followed by paid training and a start date.
This means that all roles have a great possibility of being permanent from day one.

Rates of pay:
- £16.25 per hour basic
- £20.31 per hour overtime after 48 hours
Day to Day Duties:
- Driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to make 3 - 5 trunk runs a day
- Curtain sider work
- Make on time deliveries
- Communicate with the transport team
- Follow Company policies and procedures
- Comply with driving rules and regulations
- Strapping loads correctly (awkward loads)
Essential Skills:
- Hold a valid UK Category CE licence
- Hold UK CPC and UK Digital Tachograph Card
- Have a minimum of 2 years experience driving CE vehicles
- Maximum of 6 penalty points for minor infringements with no major endorsement codes
- Work in a professional manner
- Excellent communication skills
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in strapping abnormal loads would be beneficial as well as navigating tight delivery depots.
Training:
- You will be required to pass a driving assessment before attending a Three-day paid company training programme.
