Sonic Summary
- Salary: Class 1 HGV Drivers will receive different rates depending on the shift worked, ranging from £17.89 to £22.39 per hour.
- Experience Required: Must have held a class 1 license for a minimum of 6 months.
- Shift Patterns: Drivers will need to be able to work 4 or 5 days out of 7, including weekends.
- Start Times: Most shift start times will be between 1200 and 2200.
- Other Requirements: Drivers must have no more than 6 points on their license and pass a DBS and CO course.
Class 1 HGV Drivers are required to work for our client based at East Midlands Airport. As a Class 1 driver you will be working for a well known brand to help their trunking operations across the UK. This opportunity will provide drivers with regular ongoing work once you have completed a vetting process providing air side clearance throughout the UK.
Class 1 HGV Drivers will need the following:
+ Have held your class 1 license for a minimum of 6 months
+ In date Tacho and CPC cards
+ No more than 6 points (No TT, IN, DD or DR codes)
As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will need to be able to work one of the following shift patterns:
+ 4 or 5 days out of 7
+ This may or may not include one day at weekend (Saturday morning or Sunday night)
+ You will also know what shifts you are working in every to week period in advance
Most shift start times will start between 1200 and 2200 and drivers will be expected to sleep out 1 or 2 nights per week if required.
Class 1 HGV Drivers will receive:
+ Monday to Friday 0800 - 1900 £17.89 per hour
+ Monday to Friday 1900 - 0800 £20.39 per hour
+ Saturday 0800 - 1900 £18.89 per hour
+ Saturday 1900 - 0800 £21.39 per hour
+ Sunday 0800 - 1900 £19.89 per hour
+ Sunday 1900 to 0800 £22.39 per hour
+ Overtime weekly after 40 hours is £26.84 per hour
Please note that drivers will need to have 5 years work history referenced and successfully pass a DBS and CO course.
