Position: Joiner (Wooden Floor Installer)

Rate: 18 per hour

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Joiner to join our team in Derby for the installation of wooden floors. The successful candidate will be required to carry out high-quality work and adhere to safety standards on site. This is a temporary position with an immediate start on Monday, 2nd December 2024.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Install wooden flooring to a high standard in residential and commercial properties.
Measure and cut flooring materials accurately to fit the designated space.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Work efficiently and within deadlines to meet project timelines.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following health and safety guidelines.
Report any issues or discrepancies to the site manager.
Liaise with other tradespeople on site as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Joiner, particularly in wooden floor installation.
Valid CSCS card (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) required.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to a high standard.
Ability to use joinery tools and equipment safely and effectively.
Good communication skills and ability to work within a team.

Desirable Skills:

Previous experience in both residential and commercial floor installations.
Own tools and transport would be advantageous.

Working Hours:

Full-time, Monday to Friday (with potential for overtime as required).
Standard working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (subject to site requirements).
