- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Our client, a respected high school in Derby, is seeking a skilled and reliable Food/Design & Technology Technician to join their team. In this role, you will provide crucial support in the school's Food and DT departments, ensuring lessons run smoothly and that all necessary equipment and materials are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and organising materials for lessons in both Food Technology and Design & Technology
- Assisting students and staff with the use of equipment and resources
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment, ensuring everything is in good working order
- Managing stock levels of materials and resources, ordering when necessary
- Supporting teachers with the setup and breakdown of lessons and practical activities
- Ensuring health and safety standards are met within the classroom/workshops
Key Requirements:
- Experience working within a Food Technology or Design & Technology department (ideally in a school or educational setting)
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures in food and D&T environments
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service is required
