Technical Sales Account Manager - Derby based - £25-30k + bonus ote £33kWinning and closing sales is what keeps you buzzing - if you add in your technical expertise and wizardry you have a winning combination !This is an office based role where you are a pivotal member of the sales team  focussing on tailoring bespoke quotations for your new and existing customers for high value systems equipment within the print finishing industryIts consultative and its solution focussed so you will be working with your customers to find the right choice for them, not only product wise but always bearing in mind access, dimensions, cabling and power.  If it doesnt fit, it won't work !The company is forward thinking and its a fun and vibrant place to work with the best coffee machine ever !Your background will have been in account management, sales or a customer facing role so your communication skills will be second to none and your listening skills will be first rate. So as the Technical Sales Account Manager what will you be doing ?
  • Making proactive outbound phone calls and handling inbound enquiries 
  • Following up on sales leads
  • Providing bespoke quotations to customers
  • Coordinating installation requirements with customers and liaising with the technical department
  • Inviting customers to the site for hardware systems demonstrations
  • Visiting both existing and new customers across the UK on occasion
  • Continuously updating your knowledge of systems by participating in training sessions
  • Completing occasional call lists for upcoming events, new products, or promotions
  • Effectively managing tasks and working efficiently under pressure
  • Occasional attendance and participation in offsite events/shows
  • Conducting training sessions on systems for new employees or less experienced colleagues
As the Technical Sales Account Manager what will you need to have?
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing proactive role, ideally selling into a technical environment, one where you  have had to think about not only the product, but where its going to go, how its going to be installed, access to power and cabling.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact confidently with customers over the phone and face-to-face, effectively demonstrating machinery to potential buyers
  • The ability to maintain comprehensive product knowledge
  • Self-motivation, with the capacity to work independently and efficiently by organising and prioritising tasks
  • Basic competence with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • A full driving license would be beneficial
