You will ideally have proven and demonstrable experience in a similar role within manufacturing.The role will suit someone with a dynamic and adaptable nature with a drive to succeed and achieve targets.This role will be office based and the successful candidate must be prepared and able to travel into Derby every day. They will also need to be prepared to travel and visit clients throughout the UK as required.Primary responsibilities

  • Identifying new business opportunities, creating strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities.
  • Building relationships with new and existing clients, gauging their needs and creating proposals, quotes and prices to address these needs.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients.
  • Communicating with clients clearly and addressing their concerns, resolving any issues or conflicts are they arise, and managing expectations appropriately.
  • Create sales forecasts and proactively work towards them reaching them.
  • Liaising with and building strong relationships suppliers and internal departments.
  • Use of internal bespoke software to provide quotes and pricing for customers.
  • Order processing.

Skill/Experience

  • Proven and demonstrable experience in a similar role within manufacturing is essential.
  • Able to identify and win new business opportunities.
  • Ability to maintain and develop relationships with multiple existing clients.
  • Be able to communicate with clients clearly and addressing their concerns, resolving any issues or conflicts are they arise, and managing expectations appropriately.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload is essential.
  • Able to interpret information and data in different formats and layouts.
  • Strong mathematical acumen.
  • Able to think on feet and adapt in an ever changing and fast paced environment.
  • A drive to succeed and achieve targets.
