Proactive Personnel Ltd are currently recruiting for our client based in the Derby area for an experienced Sales Executive. To be considered for this role, you must have experience in a sheet metal environment and ideally be experienced in secondary steel. Any experience in renewables / nuclear sectors would be highly desirable!

Responsibility and duties

  • Identification of new customers and markets in line with pre-set goals.
  • Generation of new enquiries
  • Maintaining and improving existing client relationships.
  • Provide feedback to Directors
  • Reviewing and advising on Proposed Client specifications.
  • Attending client Pre-tender meetings and initial site visits.
  • Assisting in preparation of Handover Documentation
  • Reporting to the Sales Director & liaising with staff and clients at all levels.

Skills Required

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels
  • Comfortable using a variety of methods - phone, email, visits, networking, client facing etc.
  • Excellent IT skills with sound knowledge of all MS Office programs essential.
  • Travel to site locations will be necessary: therefore, a full driving licence is essential.
  • This is not a 9-5 role and will require attendance to networking events from time to time and also overnight stays away.

Base Salary £45-50k, + car.

This is subject to market knowledge, motivation levels and previous experience.

This is a permanent role directly with our client.
