Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? Our client is searching for a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join their team! They are a renowned name in their industry, providing a range of services from repairs and consultancy to testing and training.

You will be responsible for the planning and coordination of projects working alongside customers to create solutions.

Based predominantly in Derby but with some travel UK wide to customer premises when required, so the ability to travel/stay away from home is a must.

To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related).
  • Experience in a project engineering role.
  • Strong grasp of engineering principles and project management best practices.
  • Ability to read, interpret and work to customer drawings
  • Proficiency with project management tools like MS Project.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience using Solidworks would be beneficial
  • Experience with component repairs is a plus!

Within this position, you’ll also be:

  • Acting as the technical point of contact for both internal and external customers.
  • Developing project scopes, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Overseeing projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet industry standards, timelines, and budgets.
  • Creating technical documentation to support projects.
  • Monitoring progress, identifying potential issues, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Presenting project updates to clients and senior management.
