This is a full-time, permanent position offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator looking for a new challenge. Role Overview: As a Senior Estimator, you will play a crucial role in delivering accurate and timely project estimates. With a minimum of five years' experience in estimating, you'll be responsible for ensuring projects are effectively budgeted and costed to support competitive tender submissions. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to grow alongside the business. Key Responsibilities: -Prepare accurate and comprehensive project estimates, managing the estimating process from start to finish. -Review client enquiry documentation and bill of quantities to ensure full compliance with tender requirements. -Engage with the supply chain, issuing enquiries and obtaining competitive sub-contractor quotations. -Stay updated on current market rates and pricing trends. -Interpret structural engineers' and architects' drawings, design reports, and specifications. -Prepare detailed and professional quotation documents. -Attend pre- and post-tender meetings with clients, ensuring clear communication throughout. -Complete handover documentation for successful bids, transitioning to the contracts department. Qualifications & Skills: -Minimum five years' experience in structural steelwork portal frames. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). -Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines. -Excellent communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills. -A solid understanding of the industry and client base is preferred. -Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team targets. -Full UK driving license required.
