With a significant international presence, this company have been involved in numerous high-profile projects such as Gatwick Airport, iconic city bridges, and nuclear power plants. They are looking for a Senior Fire Engineer to join their team!
The role:
This is a perfect role for a Senior Fire Engineer to further their career. The successful candidate will be working as part of a national practise of design professionals who deliver fire engineering design solutions. You will take responsibility for your own projects but also work collaboratively. You will work in a range of sectors from residential buildings through to rail transportation or new energy facilities.
Role responsibilities:
- Manage multiple engineering projects from inception through to delivery in support of fire safety standards and codes.
- Support the delivery of project work within time and cost budgets.
- Keep up to date with regulations and legislation.
- Developing fire engineering solutions on projects and ensuring the fire engineering strategy delivered.
- Assess fire related risks in projects and working collaboratively to mitigate where possible.
- Prepare reports, participate in meetings, and liaise with client representatives as required.
The ideal candidate:
- Degree in Engineering, preferably Fire Engineering.
- Track record in successfully delivering fire safety projects, but other sectors will also be considered.
- Keen to work towards a chartered fire engineer status.
- Experience working with fire standards, such as BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545.
- Ability to write accurate reports.
