Carbon60 is recruiting an Operator for a large engineering maintenance and repair company.

It will be a 12 week initial contract going permanent after. The role will be fully on-site based out of Castle Donington.

See the full responsibilities of the role below:ABOUT THE ROLE -

  • Work in accordance with the company operating system, departmental instructions, and shop supervision to ensure the most effective use of labour to manage the requirements of the workload.
  • Ensuring health and safety is adhered to when carrying out any tasks.
  • Managing and carrying out Strip & Clean activities
  • Cut Insulations, Insulate, Tig Weld & VPI
  • Dismantling armatures using hand tools.
  • Taking all windings out using chisel/hammer operation.
  • Using abrasives to clean out the parts (includes use of angle grinders)
  • Using chemicals to wash motor casing and steam cleaning
  • Using shot blaster to clean parts.
  • Using crane operations for all activities.

ABOUT YOU -

  • Worked in an engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of the use of hand and power tools.
  • General mechanical & electrical knowledge
  • Knowledge on basic health and safety
  • Desired - Knowledge of the use of overhead Cranes.
