Vacancy: CNC Machinist
Pay rate: £24.83 p/h (PAYE only)
Contract: Temporary, 12 months
Location: Derby
Working Shifts: 37 hours per week / 3 Shift (Monday to Friday, Morning, afternoons, nights, 6am-2pm / 2pm-9pm / 9pm-6am)
Coventry Reed Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be representing a reputable automotive company.
Due to high demand they are looking for 30 CNC Machinists to start Feb 2025 through to Feb 2026.
This is a good opportunity to get your foot into the door of a very reputable company!!
Key Responsibilities:
- 3 and 5-axis grinding, milling, and turning.
- Operate CNC machines and follow technical instructions
- Use inspection equipment, including machine probing, micrometres, and plug gauges.
- Interpret manufacturing and customer drawings, as well as written specifications.
Who We Are Looking For:
- Completed an advanced modern engineering apprenticeship and hold an NVQ/SVQ/City & Guilds Level 3 OR equivalent qualification.
- Experience with Siemens control systems is preferred but not essential
- Proficiency in 3 and 5-axis grinding, milling, and turning.
- Strong understanding of drawing interpretation, calibration, and inspection techniques.

- 1 hour onsite interview – competency and behavioural interview
