CNC Machinist

Location: Castle Donington

Up to £35,375 DOE

Will move to 2 shifts:

  • Monday to Thursday 6:00 am to 2:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am to 1:00 pm
  • Monday to Thursday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Orion Electrotech are working with an innovative company who are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team at our Castle Donington. You will set up and operate multiple CNC machines, adhering to standard operating procedures to produce high-precision components for the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities as a CNC Machinist:

  • Set and operate multiple CNC machines according to standard operating instructions.
  • Ensure components meet drawing tolerances and specifications efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain relevant productivity levels while adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
  • Use inspection equipment and methods to validate products.
  • Uphold good housekeeping practices in line with 5S standards.
  • Comply with company policies, including Health & Safety and Data Protection.

Experience as a CNC Machinist:

  • Proficient in setting and running Mill Turn Lathes.
  • Experience with Mazak and Fanuc operating systems.
  • Background in manufacturing or precision engineering environments.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Confident in using inspection equipment and methods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills..
