This is a 3-month contract position for a CNC Turner based in Derby, offering a salary of up to £15 - £20 per hour.

The position operates on a day shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, 7am/8am to 4pm/5pm, and Friday from 7am to 12pm.

Set and operate CNC turning machines
Read and understand CNC code to the level required for machine set up and operation
Set up machines with the required work holding and tooling in accordance with relevant procedures.
Complete machining operations efficiently in accordance with Job Card instructions to achieve the required output levels
Use and control of CNC programs in accordance with relevant procedures
Use of all measuring equipment as defined within Inspection Plans to check conformance to requirements.

CNC TurnerEssential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Experience Setting and Operating CNC turning machines (at least 2 Axis)
Well-versed machining high precision metal components for highly regulated industries (aerospace, automotive, nuclear etc – high precision/tight tolerance machining)
Ability to read and understand CNC code (Fanuc) to the level required for machine set up and operation.
