Were working with a leading UK main contractor renowned for delivering high-value, technically complex build projects across the Midlands and beyond. Due to sustained growth and a strong order book, they are now looking to appoint a Health & Safety Manager to be based in Crewton, Derby.
What Youll Be Doing:As Health & Safety Manager, youll take full responsibility for HSEQ across multiple construction projects ranging from £20m to £60m. Youll play a key role in shaping and implementing best practice across the business, ensuring all operations comply with statutory regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities:Lead on all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management across live projects
Develop and maintain robust site H&S procedures and documentation
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and investigations
Provide guidance and training to site teams and subcontractors
Liaise with the leadership team to drive a proactive safety culture
Proven experience in a main contracting environment (essential)
Background working on sizeable construction projects (£20m+)
NEBOSH qualified (essential)
IOSH membership (desirable)
Strong communicator with a collaborative and proactive approach
Salary between £60,000 - £70,000 depending on experience
