Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a specialist organisation to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment Manager. This is a key leadership position with responsibility for shaping and delivering health, safety and environmental strategy across multiple UK locations, supporting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Manager will include:

  • Playing a key role in HSE strategy and implementation at the organisation's main UK site, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and alignment with wider group objectives
  • Supporting the commissioning and safe launch of a major new on-site project, providing guidance from a safety and compliance perspective
  • Travelling occasionally to UK-wide depots and customer sites, supporting HSE engagement across diverse environments
  • Driving continuous improvement in health, safety and environment performance across a high-hazard, COMAH operation

The ideal Health, Safety and Environment Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a COMAH site or high risk industry
  • NEBOSH General certification or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging colleagues at all levels
  • A proactive mindset with the drive to lead new initiatives and continuously enhance health, safety and environment performance
