The opportunity
Our supply chain management professionals ensure the responsible sourcing of products and subconsultant services for client projects during the construction process. Combining on-site experience with best-practice procurement methods, we’re experts in keeping a project on track through the seamless integration of our clients, design teams and supply chain. Due to this, they are currently seeking an experienced Procurement and Contract Manager to expand their growing team.

You will work on an interesting project, being involved in the procurement of bespoke items for a large scale project.

Permanent (12 Month fixed term contract)
London-1 day per week- Balance remote

The role
As part of this exciting 12-month fixed term contract position, as the Procurement and Contract Manager, you will be responsible for managing all procurement and contract administration function on a project with one of our key clients in the Life Science sector. This will involve supply chain development, procurement strategy, tendering and evaluation, negotiation and contract management. The role also includes an input to main contract T&C reviews.

Your duties and responsibilities will be 

  • As a Procurement and Contract Manager, you will administer the process of procuring equipment, contracts, subcontracts and services for the Companies projects.
  • To work closely with project teams and customers delivering a service to fully meet their requirements and develop repeat work through excellent performance and quality.
  • To assist the review of main contracts and provide advice to project teams.
  • To administer contracts both on behalf of the Company and our Clients including payments, variations, expediting and forecasting.

You will have the following qualifications and experience

  • Strong knowledge of all commonly used model Forms of contract for UK services and supplies.
  • Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or MCIPS
  • Relevant degree.
  • Experienced in the sourcing of equipment and materials to meet the needs of complex capital projects, plant upgrades and refurbishments across the UK and in Europe
  • Extensive experience as a procurement / contracts manager in construction or engineering.
  • Experience in project procurement in a regulated industry (i.e. Life Science/ Nuclear/ Oil & Gas etc).
  • Full UK driving license.
