Role Responsibilities
Main Accountabilities:We're looking for a remote Apprenticeship Skills Coach to join our growing team and help ensure that learners achieve high-level skills and career progression. We want to help our learners to become engaged, confident and effective employees by supporting them in gaining timely first-time achievement.
- To understand safeguarding duties and ensure all learners are safe, aware of prevent and safeguarding and undertake relevant safeguarding and prevent activities
- To meet the KPIs of the main accountabilities, report these to the Apprenticeship Success Manager and implement remedial actions to mitigate any Red and Amber measures.
- To perform the skills coach aspects of the curriculum/s, skills coaching days, and marking assessments to Ofsted and other regulatory/awarding body standards.
- To comply with on programme ESFA measures of OTJ learning, monthly activities, attendance, Tripartite reviews, BILS and Leavers.
- To tailor learning plans with the learner and employer to best support the learner.
- To provide career advice to the learner.
- To support SEND learners with any additional support identified.
- To provide quality and timely feedback to learners assessments.
- To meet virtually and/or face to face (at the employers venue) and provide quality coaching and one-ones reviews.
- To provide additional/catch up content learning to learners where necessary.
- To ensure learners are prepared for EPA and have met the required standards to go through gateway.
- To ensure learners achieve on programme progress and timely first-time achievement.
- To keep up to date CPD.
- Any other reasonable duties.
Essential Experience, Skills, Behaviours and Qualifications
Experience
- Experience of assessing and marking and working with Level 5 and Level 3 Management Apprentices
- Experience of providing a service to external clients
- Experience of business coaching/mentoring
- Experience in a management role is preferable

- Assessor qualification e.g. D 32/33, A1, CAVA
- GCSE Maths grade C or 4/5 or equivalent

- CMI/ILM qualification preferable
- Safeguarding qualification preferable
Hours
Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday: Varies as per skills coaching activities including skills coaching days and location - typically 8.30 4.30 with a paid lunch break.
Salary
£32,000 - £35,000 FTE depending on experience

Mostly remote/home based with occasional visits to the Derby office and to employers premises when meeting with learners face to face.
