Job Description: Vocational Skills TutorLocation: Derby City Centre (Includes Free Parking)Contract: Full-time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)Salary: Up to £28,000 (dependent on experience) About the RoleWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated Vocational Skills Tutor to join our team in Wolverhampton. This exciting opportunity involves delivering engaging learning opportunities through the delivery of accredited Employability qualifications, Vocational Skills, and Essential Digital Skills. The ideal candidate will empower learners to achieve their personal and professional goals by offering high-quality provision across a range of ability levels (Entry 1 to Level 2).You will work collaboratively to ensure the delivery meets academic and funding requirements, supports learners in reaching their goals, and aligns with local labour market needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective training programs in Employability qualifications, Vocational Skills, and Essential Digital Skills.
  • Cater to a diverse range of learners from Entry 1 to Level 2, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Meet all relevant academic and funding criteria in the provision of high-quality learning experiences.
  • Support learners to achieve personal learning goals and progress into employment, further education, or other positive destinations.
  • Use your knowledge of the local labour market, sector skills gaps, and employment trends to tailor delivery to meet regional needs.
  • Monitor learner progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records to achieve KPIs and meet performance targets.
  • Promote and uphold a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to align the provision with organizational goals and funding requirements.
Essential Criteria
  • A recognized teaching qualification (e.g., CTLLS, PTLLS, AET, PGCE).
  • Previous experience delivering employability and vocational skills training within the skills sector.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver engaging and learner-focused sessions.
  • Strong knowledge of the local labour market, sector-specific skills gaps, and training provision landscape.
  • Proficiency in IT and digital tools to support teaching and administrative duties.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.
  • A commitment to achieving KPI targets and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Passionate, dedicated, and ambitious, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on learners’ lives.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in delivering Essential Digital Skills or similar qualifications.
  • Understanding of relevant funding and compliance requirements within the skills sector.
