You will have the opportunity to develop people, pass on your knowledge and invest in the future of this great profession.Main responsibilities will include:Assisting in the development and implementation of training programs, as well as helping to develop the facilities and framework for the training centre.* Assessing necessary skills of new and current welding members of staff* Identifying and assessing training needs for the welding team* Implementing various training methods to enhance employees' skills and performance* Creating and delivering training sessions and lectures to trainees both practical and theory-based* Monitoring training program effectiveness* Managing budgetsPreferred Skills / Experience* Full driving license* 10 years' experience as a welder fabricator, with experience as a trainer running a training school/centre* Proficient in the use of hand tools and sheet metal fabrication* Competent in welding processes MIG, MAG, TIG and MMA to ISO 9606-1 and ISO 9606-2* Rail experience and knowledge of BE EN 15085 would be an advantage* Ability to train and encourage trainees to develop skills they already possess* Organised, with a high level of attention to detail ensuring all paperwork is completed in accordance with standards and company practises* Competent in using Word and Excel* Ability to problem-solveFor more information regarding this role please send your up to date CV to or call Ronnie Burton at Shorterm Group on
