Job Role: CAD Engineer (Solidworks)
Location: Derby
Salary: 30,000 - 35,000

Metalis are curretly working with a leading fabrication and manufacturing business who supplies bespoke solutions into a range of industries including Water, Plant machinery, HVAC Systems and industrial machinery to name a few. Due to a bursting order book with new projects coming on all the time our client is looking to recruit a CAD Engineer to hit the ground running and be part of a developing team.

Job Duties

Utilize SolidWorks software to create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings for mechanical and structural projects.
Collaborate with sales and the client to develop concept designs and translate them into precise CAD models and technical drawings.
Manage and organize CAD libraries, templates, and project files to ensure timely delivery of design deliverable while meeting quality standards.
Provide technical support and expertise to colleagues and team members on CAD-related matters.
Adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company guidelines throughout the design process.
Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes.
Produce fabrication/manufacturing drawings.
Design and implement automated and manual systems.
Optimize facility layouts and production lines.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Job Requirements

Experience working within a fabrication environment.
Proficiency in either SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
3-5 years within a design environment.
