LTF Recruitment specialises in long term to permanent roles in education settings. Our partner secondary school are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school in Derby, DE1.

The role: As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting learners, enhancing their academic growth and personal development.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Actively support students with special educational needs to access and engage with learning
  • Deliver personalised 1-1 and small group support
  • Monitor and facilitate the progress of students, nurturing their social, emotional and academic development
  • Establish open lines of communication with members of staff and parents
  • Facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation with learning
  • Support classroom teachers with maintaining a positive learning environment

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification or degree is desirable
  • Experience of working within an education setting or similar
  • Demonstrate the ability to work with diverse learning needs, adapt learning and provide tailored support
  • Have a passion for education and fostering a positive learning experience for all students
  • An Enhanced DBS and two references are requirement for this role
