Job Description: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Derby. The successful candidate will work closely with students with special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the educational and social development of students with SEN.
  • Work with teachers to plan and deliver individualised provision.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support the inclusion of students with SEN in all aspects of school life.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the students and the school.
