Career Teachers have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant to join the staff at a fantastic Primary School located within Derbyshire. This is to commence on the 4th November and will be full time until further notice.

The desirable candidate will be proactive, energetic and have experience working within Key Stage 1 classes. You will be responsible for providing learning support to individuals and groups while supporting teaching staff. Alongside this, you will also be supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting students physical, social, and emotional well-being with an empathetic and nurturing approach
  • Offering a firm and consistent approach
  • Building positive relationships with the children
  • Working as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum particularly in numeracy and literacy
  • Experience working with children, preferably those with additional needs
  • A desire to show every child that they matter and that they have potential
  • Have encouraging behaviour techniques
  • Be able to demonstrate exciting and engaging ways to teach children in both small groups or on a 1:1 basis
