Excellent opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer to join a successful and growing company, working on technically complex Rail projects from cradle to grave.

This reputable rail business are part of an industry leading group that work on design projects from conception to implementation throughout the UK. Having demonstrated their technical capability on complex projects throughout the UK, the company are often consulted on high-value international rail design projects. They are currently seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer to take lead in their team and work on technically interesting projects.

In this role you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of electrical design projects for the rollingstock/rail sector. You'll be development electrical schematic drawings as well as getting involved in parts specifications, risk assessments, installation procedures and calculations. You'll also be involved in assisting more junior members of the team and being the to-go-to technical expert there.

*Electrical schematic design of rail/rollingstock using SolidEdge

*Assisting/coaching junior members of the Electrical design team
*Office based in Derby

THE PERSON:
*Experienced Electrical Design Engineer
*Electrical or Electronic Higher Education
*Electrical Schematic Drawings
*Siemens SolidEdge preferred
*Rail Industry experience
