Graduate Commissioning Engineer

£27,224 basic + generous benefits + o/t + flexible working hours + pension

Our established and highly successful niche sector client offers a range of highest quality services that encompass Project Management and Implementation, Consultancy and Software Development to blue chip clients worldwide, and as a result of continued success and an ongoing planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Graduate Commissioning Engineer to complement the existing Industrial Automation and Projects team delivering end to end control system solutions.

A team player with a tenacious approach to completing tasks and tests efficiently and thoroughly, as a Graduate Commissioning Engineer you will assist the project delivery team in the commissioning, installation and test of a range of control systems and equipment at customer sites across the UK. Core duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Working closely with project delivery engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet the required high-quality standards.
  • Conducting on-site inspections and performance testing to verify system
  • Providing technical support and documentation for commissioning
  • Collaborating with clients and project teams to resolve issues and achieve successful project
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental
  • Assisting in the production and Factory Acceptance Testing of the systems before being deployed to the site.

To be considered for this varied and challenging Graduate Commissioning Engineer role it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be qualified to degree level or above in an electrical, electronic or control engineering discipline and be able to demonstrate solid problem-solving skills, an analytical approach and excellent communication skills at all levels.

You will essentially hold a full UK manual driving licence and have no criminal convictions due to security clearances required by airport authorities and will be eligible to work in the UK without requiring a visa or sponsorship.

This is a field-based role covering the UK and (occasionally Europe) and is ideally suited for someone based in Derby or the surrounding area with a flexible approach to travelling and working away from home.
