Electronics Engineer - Derbyshire - Highly Competitive Salary + Bonus (Principal level)

What You Will Do:
- Take ownership of several powertrain sensors and actuators as the component owner, driving their integration and validation across global diesel and alternative fuel ICE platforms, including Hydrogen.
- Ensure robust system/component sign-off that meets all regulatory, quality, cost, and timing requirements through the entire product development cycle.
- Conduct functional testing, validation, and fault-finding activities on electrical, fuel ignition, and electronic components according to the company's stringent test standards.
- Collaborate closely with suppliers to deliver prototypes and PPAP parts on schedule, ensuring they meet quality and performance requirements.
- Work closely with design functions responsible for wiring harness and connectors, ensuring successful integration of electrical components onto engine and after-treatment hardware.
- Perform fault finding activities on Dyno/Machine applications, implementing corrective measures using 8D analysis.
What You Will Bring:
- A strong engineering background with a Degree/HND in Electronic/Systems Engineering or equivalent.
- Profound knowledge of vehicle electrical systems architecture, powertrain-based sensors/actuators, and combustion high voltage ignition systems testing.
- Expertise in engine system and component specification, design, development, and sign-off, including the use of electrical test equipment and diagnostics tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive, highly motivated attitude, capable of delivering objectives independently.
- Experience of risk management, participating/constructing FMEA's through to DVPSOR
- Practical skills in using CAD (NX), PLM systems, and electrical design software would be highly desirable.
