Actaris are looking for a Field ServicingEngineer.

Will be performing servicing, maintenance, and repair of CT scanners, MRI machines, and other ancillary medical equipment. The successful candidate will receive training to specialise in servicing medical imaging devices, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with a basic understanding of electrical engineering. Candidates with prior experience working on CT or MRI equipment will be eligible for a higher salary within the range.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting issues with CT scanners, MRI machines, and injectors.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on medical imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimise downtime.
  • Conduct diagnostic testing on equipment to identify and address faults.
  • Calibrate and validate medical equipment to meet industry standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Support the installation of new equipment and the decommissioning of old systems.
  • Ensure all work is documented accurately in line with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with suppliers and external contractors for parts, repairs, and technical support when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic Understanding of Electrical Engineering:A foundational knowledge of electrical engineering principles is essential.
  • Desirable Experience:Any previous experience with CT scanners, MRI machines, injectors, or other medical imaging devices is a significant advantage. Candidates with direct experience will be considered for a higher salary of up to 45,000 per annum.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and find practical solutions.
  • Willingness to Learn:The candidate should be keen to undergo further training to specialise in medical equipment servicing.
  • Team Player:Comfortable working within a team under the guidance of the Chief Engineer.
  • Communication Skills:Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical staff and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail:Meticulous in maintaining and servicing complex machinery, with a focus on safety and precision.
