They are looking to grow their pre-contract team and onboard an Assistant Estimator to join them.
This is a full-time permanent position based in their Derby office with flexible working.
Your new roleAs Assistant Estimator, you will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Working alongside and supporting experienced estimators to prepare and submit tenders from first principles, including obtaining quotations for subcontract work, materials and plant, and compiling programmes
- Undertaking quantity take-offs from tender documents and producing bills of quantities
- Assisting in the preparation of tender submissions
- Supporting with the preparation of reports for senior management and clients
- Monitoring tender deadlines and ensuring timely submission of all required documentation
- Undertaking general administrative duties to support the pre-contract team.
What you'll need to succeedIn order to be successful, you must have:
- Previous estimating or quantity surveying experience in groundworks, reinforced concrete structures and general civil works (ideal)
- Strong numerical, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
- Full UK driving licence.
