Job Title: Water Hygiene Service Engineer

Location: Derby (Full-Time)

Salary: £24K-£27K DOE

Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Water Hygiene Service Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a variety of water hygiene services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing exceptional service across multiple client sites. This is a mobile role, requiring flexibility and dedication.

Key Responsibilities:

Water Hygiene Services:

      The engineer will perform tasks such as water temperature monitoring, disinfection of hot and cold systems, water sampling, TMV servicing and checks, showerhead descaling and disinfection, cold water storage tank inspections, calorifier checks, and plumbing remedial works depending on their level of experience and training.

Problem-Solving: They will identify and resolve on-site compliance issues, with support from senior engineers or management if needed.

Health & Safety Compliance: The engineer will adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and effectively.

Client Communication: Professional interaction with clients is expected, providing clear service updates and addressing any queries.

Service Efficiency: The role involves managing routine service visits across allocated sites, maintaining high standards while keeping operational costs to a minimum.

Ad Hoc Work: The engineer will assist with urgent call-outs and additional tasks as required.

Reporting: They will utilise the client's CRM system to log service details and report any non-conformances.

Additional Duties:

      Completing administrative tasks such as timesheets, visit reports, and database entries.

Using company-provided technology for service updates and client communications.

Keeping stock and equipment organised and in good working condition.

Ensuring timely submission of any required documentation or reports.

Requirements:

      At least 1 year's experience in water hygiene services.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with computers, including Word, Excel, internet, and CRM systems.

A full, clean driving licence and a clear DBS check.

Flexibility with working hours due to the nature of the service.

A proactive attitude with the ability to manage workload effectively.

Desirable Skills:

      Sales or upselling skills, with a confident telephone manner.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Key Performance Indicators:

Performance will be assessed based on meeting the responsibilities outlined in the job description and objectives set during performance reviews with the management team.
