Salary: £36,157 to £39,500 paJob Summary: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Energy Manager to join our client's Estates team. The successful candidate will lead the development and implementation of their energy strategy, aiming for net zero carbon emissions. This role involves managing energy performance, ensuring high-quality utility management, and improving their energy efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage utility supply systems and relationships with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain accurate energy consumption records.
- Report on energy and water consumption, costs, and carbon data.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement energy performance improvement projects.
- Engage with staff, students, and the wider community to promote sustainability.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant degree and significant experience in energy management.
- Experience with large estates and Building Management Systems.
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills.
- Proven project management and analytical skills.
- Ability to influence key stakeholders and lead collaborative efforts.
Desirable Criteria:
- Understanding of the large complex commercial buildings from an energy and facilities perspective
