Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer - Derby

Salary: 40-50k
Location: Derby (Hybrid)

I have a great opportunity for an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer to join an independently owned engineering consultancy, delivering specialised solutions for a wide range of projects across the residential and commercial sectors, meaning no two weeks will be the same. You will be joining the expanding team in Derby, where you will have the opportunity to push forward work technically, handling both site investigation and design aspects of the process, while also providing mentorship and support to the junior members of the team. The role also offers significant client facing opportunities, allowing for rapid development of your commercial skillset within the ground engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting site appraisals and reviewing third-party information.
  • Preparing and reviewing Desk Studies, Land Contamination Assessments, Remediation Strategies, and Validation work as required.
  • Designing, costing, and managing site investigations.
  • Ensuring project delivery aligns with the required scope of works within budget and guiding junior staff to perform their duties safely and competently.
  • Interpreting data and producing reports to a professional standard.
  • Performing human health risk assessments, controlled water risk assessments, and Detailed Quantitative Risk Assessments.
  • Undertaking foundation design, slope stability assessments, and settlement analysis.
  • Assisting and mentoring team members to promote their technical and professional development.
  • Liaising with clients and developing client relationships.
