Our client is seeking a Driver and Production Operative based in Derby, who will play a key role in both transporting colleagues and contributing to the production team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to secure long-term work with real potential to transition into a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:- Transporting Operatives: Safely pick up colleagues from a location in Derby and drive them to the production site in Wirksworth (approx. 30-minute commute each way).
- Production Work: Become an essential part of the production team, cutting and measuring foam and fibre materials used in upholstery manufacturing.
- Attention to Detail: Work with precision, ensuring all materials are measured and cut accurately according to specifications.
- Team Contribution: Help meet daily production targets, maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the process.
- Full UK Driving Licence: Clean or minimal points (max 6 minor points).
- Good Physical Fitness: Capable of lifting and handling materials.
- Attention to Detail: The ability to measure and cut materials accurately.
- Team Player: Willing to collaborate and work as part of a close-knit team.
- Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced Pay Rate: Earn £13.00 per hour, rewarding both your driving and production responsibilities.
- Monday to Friday Schedule: Consistent hours with weekends free.
- Temp to Perm Potential: Secure long-term work with the opportunity to go permanent based on performance.
