We are delighted to be exclusively supporting our client, a market leader in their industry, with a newly created Finance Analyst role to join their team in Derby. The successful candidate will support the business vision by providing centralised analytical reporting related to projects, business cases, cost and savings.

The role is based in Derby, on a hybrid working basis.

The role:

In this role, you will play a crucial role in supporting the business vision through your expertise in centralised analytical reporting. You will work closely with the FP&A Manager to deliver robust, value-added accurate reporting and support creating better processes and controls within the Finance team and wider business.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve working closely with the FP&A Manager to deliver robust, accurate reporting that adds value to our client's operations. You will also be involved in 'fact-finding' and analysis across divisions, looking for areas of alignment and sharing best practice in terms of financial analysis and reporting.

To summarise, you'll:

  • Support the FP&A Manager with centralised commercial analysis and complex financial modelling.
  • Provide financial evaluations and monthly analysis of change programmes and projects across the group.
  • Continuously review financial processes, systems and business practices to enhance cost efficiency and streamline operations.
  • Support cost saving initiatives and investment projects as required.
  • Assist in the preparation of major Group wide financial evaluations.
  • Provide Executive standard financial analysis of business performance.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Finance Analyst position is qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and brings a wealth of experience in transformation change, executive level analysis, and reporting. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation. With a keen eye for detail, you possess excellent analytical skills that allow you to provide insightful financial evaluations. Your ability to work under pressure while using your initiative will be key to your success in this role.

To summarise:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA (2-3 years PQE) qualification is essential.

The role is hybrid, with a requirement to be on site in Derby 2-3 times per week.
