Astute's Renewables team is partnering with a one of the largest energy companies as they build a brand new team to recruit a Regulations and Compliance Analyst. This role will be hybrid working from their Derby office.

The Regulations and Compliance Analyst will be integral for the business as it develops. This position comes with a salary between 50,000- 63,800 depending on experience, pension and flexible working.

Responsibilities and duties

As the Regulations and Compliance Analyst you will:

  • Take the lead on regulatory and compliance matters, with assistance from the central EIS regulations team as needed.
  • Act as the company's representative in industry forums.
  • Assist in creating and rolling out regulatory and compliance policies and procedures for the IDNO.
  • Offer expert advice to facilitate business growth and onboarding initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary resource for questions related to IDNO regulations and compliance.
  • Perform and support audits and investigations to ensure the business complies with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Compile and deliver compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with the central EIS regulations team to track changes in legislation and update internal policies accordingly.
  • Address and resolve compliance-related issues and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and current records of compliance-related activities and documentation.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

  • Compliance or regulatory experience
  • OFGEM or electricity distribution regulation knowledge
  • Able to implement compliance programs
