Accounts Team Leader Salary: £45,000Location: Hybrid working available (Derby-based office)We are representing a rapidly growing accountancy and advisory practice, currently expanding our team to meet the demands of our expanding portfolio. As a leading recruitment firm, we are supporting our client in finding a talented Accounts Team Leader to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a progressive and friendly company based in Derby, with a dynamic range of clients across the sports and media sectors.The Role:As an Accounts Team Leader, you will oversee a portfolio of sports and media clients, providing accounting and project support services. You'll play an integral role in supporting client accounts, project and transaction services, and financial management. This role will allow you to develop professionally and offers a clear pathway into management as the department grows.Key Responsibilities:* Supervise a portfolio of sports and media clients, ensuring excellent client service and managing their accounting needs.* Oversee bookkeeping, VAT returns, credit control, and invoicing for contractual income and ad-hoc appearances.* Support project services, including cash flow forecasts, business planning, finance raising, and transaction support.* Collate due diligence information and manage data transfers for MBOs, trade sales, and acquisitions.* Prepare financial statements from client source records and draft supporting schedules for management review.* Attend client meetings and occasional travel to client sites.* Mentor and guide junior staff members, delegating tasks appropriately.* Manage client queries and progress assignments to ensure deadlines are met.Skills & Experience Required:* ACA/ACCA qualified with strong technical knowledge in accounting.* Proven experience in accounts, project advisory services, and client management.* Solid experience using Xero and preparing VAT returns.* Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.* A passion for offering high-quality service and building relationships with clients.* A friendly and approachable communicator, able to liaise with colleagues and clients effectively.* Interest in sports and media is desirable.* Previous tax experience is beneficial but not essential.What's on Offer:* Hybrid working with flexible hours * Generous holiday allowance starting from 33 days (including bank holidays).* Health & Wellbeing support packages.* Christmas & New Year office closure.* Pension scheme, life insurance, and company sick pay.* Paid overtime or time off in lieu.* Social events, sports teams, and charity events.* Personal development plans and clear progression opportunities into management.If you're ready to take on a new challenge and grow with a forward-thinking company in an exciting industry, we encourage you to apply for this Accounts Team Leader role today.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
